On Thursday March 13th, #GivingDay2025, please consider giving to the Sarasota-Manatee Cornell Club Scholarship Fund, an endowed fund used to supplement financial aid administered by Cornell for students from Sarasota and Manatee counties who need assistance.
Eighteen students from the local area currently attend Cornell, eight graduate students and ten undergraduates. They are an impressive group with a wide array of interests and academic pursuits. A big thank you to those who helped Sail Our Students to Success in 2024. Your generosity allowed us to raise $20,287 and resulted in five local students receiving scholarships totaling $20,464.
Local students need our help. It costs over $92,000 for out-of-state students to attend Cornell in 2024-2025. The median household income in Sarasota and Manatee counties is $77,705 and $79,524 respectively. Our scholarship fund really does impact whether some students can afford to attend Cornell.
